Dear Local Union Leader, The major parties have conclude their conventions and the campaigns for the 2020 elections are in full swing. Whether you are concerned about how the corona-virus impacted you or your family or you have concerns about the future of Medicare and Social Security or that you or a family member has been impacted by structural racism; what we have seen the last several months makes clear that it is definitely time for change in this country. This is reflected in a recently conducted poll of OPEIU members throughout the US who voted nearly seventy per cent to support Biden to be the next President. This is the first time OPEIU wide survey of members to determine the union’s endorsement for president. That said, the question is how do we turn the sentiment of our membership in to action? The short answer is, we all need to vote.
