Your Bargaining Team worked hard today! We gave Sandia responses and/or counter proposals on fifteen (15) articles. We are reviewing the company’s recent wage proposal and the proposals surrounding all the articles related to benefits. We will be continuing discussions on our scheduled meeting tomorrow, Thursday, Sep. 16.
We continue to work with your best interests in mind and we’ll do our absolute best to bring you the best possible contract that we can. As we’ve informed you over the last couple of weeks, the contract expires next Wednesday, September 22. This does not mean that bargaining ends on that date! The union and company will continue to bargain until we have a fair successor contract to bring back to you for ratification.
We are holding a General Membership meeting on Thursday, September 16, starting at 5:30 pm. Please join the meeting to hear an update on how the OPEIU/SNL negotiations are going.
